    v0.2.0-prealpha.2 Pre-release

woofmeow released this 2026-07-28 03:47:07 +00:00 | 188 commits to main since this release

this update is mostly a big UI pass. the title screen, settings, confirmations, and in-game ESC menu now all use the floating bubble interface. menus drift in and out, kick up little bubble flurries when they move, and generally feel a lot more like they belong underwater.

pixelation has also been rebuilt so the presets look consistent whether you’re playing in a tiny window or fullscreen at 4K. legible stays clean, retro is properly chunky, and wtf is now genuinely ridiculous.

    also included:

    • a fully bubble-based pause menu
    • smoother settings and confirmation transitions
    • a native-resolution emergency pixelation reset bubble
    • better scaling across different window sizes and aspect ratios
    • cleaner pause-menu shading and input handling
    • lots of small title-screen and menu polish

tiny hotfix for the 0.2 pre-alpha.

the title screen was still showing the old 0.1 playtest label. this fixes it to show 0.2.

    nothing else changed.

    v0.2.0-prealpha Pre-release

woofmeow released this 2026-07-27 04:13:45 +00:00 | 200 commits to main since this release

big visual and gameplay update for the pre-alpha.

this build adds the new starter island, pond and ocean fishing, updated fish art, sunfish, multi-select selling, and the new underwater title screen with music, bubbles, swimming fish, the v2 logo, and the new font.

still very early, still rough in places, but it finally feels a lot more like the game it’s supposed to become.
