Settings notes input field DOES accept raw markdown but the viewer does not currently display it. Planned fix, feel free to use markdown in that field and we'll test display in a few days when I get around to that. I feel like it's the display that's broken rather than the input but I have to do more research. Current behavior provided in screenshot. Clearly not markdown.
